Another sad outcome of the cabinet meeting has been that the benifit of reservations will not go to the people who are needy and poor and really deserve it, but the creamy layer will be the benificiary. So much for the OBC people crying themselves hoarse that this is for the betterment of the people.

We should be ashamed of seeing these junior doctors and students of AIIMS behave like rowdies with no civic sense. Just to get into the news and get their pictures on TV and internet, they behave like animals, breaking the barricades to break into Supreme Court buildings.
They do all this not because they are deprived of a seat in AIIMS (they are already in), but to exclude lower caste people from entering AIIMS.
These people are really mean and cruel.
Shame on you to publish these pictures.
Easy for someone to sit at his cushy seat and type about students being rowdy. Dude - these guys are fighting for a cause not like you - just an armchair commenter.
If you are still thinking that the agitation is about not letting lower caste people into the institution - you are dumb or blind or both. The fight is about not diluting the standards of the institutes and the country. The fight is about the high-handedness of the Politicians. The Fight is the country is foremost before petty vote bank politics.
Inaction is a sin and you dude are a sinner.
How do you dilute the standards?
Do you know that only about 5000 students get into IITs out of more than 2 lakh applicants.
Even under the new reservation law, the OBC's who would get in will rank in the top 10,000 ranks out of those 2.5 lakh first class applicants.
The difference in marks or merit of the 5000th ranker and 8000th ranker is so small that they will be of the same intelectual calibre.
There will be no dilution of standards you are led to belive.
Please use your brain and available facts, and do not fall for those phony rhetoric of these mean protesters.
These protesters appear like patriots, but actually they are selfish promoters of status quo.
Facts about IIT JEE-2006:
Chairman, Joint Admission Board (JAB) Prof Ashok Misra provided these figures:
JAB reviewed JEE-2006 in detail and found that a total of 2,87,564 candidates appeared for the examination, including 25,465 students belonging to SC and 6209 ST candidates.
The total number of candidates who qualified in JEE-2006 was 6343(2.2%), which included 699 SC (2.7%) and 156 ST (2.5%) candidates.
If you include next 2% (an additional 6,000) students, you will find them as smart as the the selected 6343 students.
Of course, you have to increase the strength of the faculty and expand the facilities. That should be your demands. Not these disruptive and violent protests to keep bright OBC students out of IITs.

Doctrs are all from upper castes and they want that the depressed people should not enter their institutions, a if they own it.

Dude - if you are so much against the upper-caste doctors then why dont you go to some lower-caste doctor and get yourself examined ? Why dont you go to a doctor of your caste when you need some medical checkups or need medical consulatations ? Are they not good enough for you ? Dont you trust them ?
Stop pointing your crooked fingers when you are not even helping out your own brethren of whom you claim are a guru. What have you dont to help the OBCs rise out of their conditions ? And no, I am not talking about OBCs like you who have a net connection and can relax in your office chairs, but the people in the countryside about whom you are having an holier than thou attitude.
It ridiculous to say that a lower-caste doctor will be a bad doctor. Just 4% gap between SC topper and last-ranked successful general candidate in AIIMS in 2005-06. That does not make an SC student a bad doctor, particularly if he works hard and is allowed to train at the same institute.
By the way, the SC topper in IIT scores nearly double the last general qualifier.
Let us control our emotions and stick to facts and figures. The figures I quoted for JEEE-2006 are accurate. You can call Prof. Misra to verify those figures.
According to the new bill, aided institutions are required to increase the number of seats by 54% to make sure that the general quota seats are not reduced from the previous year due to 27% increase in reserved seats.
Now, take the example of JEE-2006 data. The qualified general quota seats were 5488 (after deducting SC and ST seats from total qualified seats of 6343).
IITs are required increase the seats by 54%. That would require additional 3425 candidates selected from the 2,87,564 candidates. That constitutes 1.2% of total.
That means JEE-2006 would have selected 3.4% students from the a pool of 2,87,564 first class students from all over the country, instead of the 2.2% students.
Talk to any statistician, and he will tell you that the top 3.4% of these students are as creamy (meritorius) as the top 2.2% students.
It is foolish to think that this increase will dilute the standards at the IITs.

Mr Arjun singh the most disgrunteled follower of sonia gandhi is trying to impress her by constantly getting into contraversies like these. He is playing with the youth of India, congress Govt shall pay fine for this in the comming elections. What level of betterment did SC/ST' s forsee in the last 60 years because of reservation.
